STERLING, MA -- Each  Autumn a tradition endures at the Davis Farmland in Sterling; they create a new giant corn maze and invite the public to wander through eight acres of their latest work.

This year, the Davis family has added an extra twist to the wandering paths of towering corn and overhead bridges that make up their corn maze; they've built a cornfield of dreams.

To honor the retiring Red Sox legend David Ortiz, this year's Davis Mega Maze is a Green Monster sized message that reads "Thanks Big Papi".

"It was a no-brainer, we couldn't miss the opportunity to pay tribute to such a New England icon," said Larry Davis, owner of the Mega Maze and Farmland.

From above, an image of Ortiz with his signature shades can be made out with his fingers pointing skyward.

"He is there doing his famous stance," said Nicki Sacco, a manager at the  Davis Farmland.

The mega maze, which can take hours to complete, includes adventures zones, Red Sox trivia, and even a zip line adventure.

The Big Papi Corn Maze in Sterling, Massachusetts is located at 142 Redstone Hill Rd. The maze is open weekends through October 30. It will be open Columbus Day. Tickets are $19.95 for adults and $16.96 for kids. They also do Friday Fright Nights. For more information, click here.
