MILFORD — Police are trying to determine the identity of a person who was found dead in a burning car late Friday night.
Milford firefighters were called to a car fire in the area of 1 Milford Point Rd. around 11:30 p.m. Friday.
When they arrived, they found a car on fire in the area of The Connecticut Audubon Society building. When crews put out the fire, they discovered the body of a deceased person inside the car.
Milford’s Fire Marshal, Milford police, the State Police Fire & Explosion Investigation Unit, and the state Medical Examiner were called to the scene to investigate. They are working to determine the identity of the victim, as well as the cause of the fire.
