MIDDLEFIELD — A lemonade stand was in business in Middlefield Saturday with a special purpose.

Three sisters run the “Lemonade for Ladies” stand to raise money for the American Cancer Society and breast cancer research.

The Hart sisters started selling in September and so far they’ve raised more than $500 dollars in honor of their aunt.

“Every dollar and nickel they are raising is making people like me live longer… and I am eternally grateful, so grateful,’ said the sister’s aunt, Laura Chuba.

Money raised will go to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, which is a celebration of survivorship.
