Police reopen Daniel Street in Milford after investigating suspicious item

MILFORD — The Connecticut State Police bomb squad was called to 50 Daniel Street in Milford Wednesday afternoon to investigate a suspicious item found in a vehicle. About a half hour later, police cleared the scene and reopened it to traffic.

The road was closed between River Street and New Haven Avenue. Daniel Street is now open.

Police did not say whether they actually found an item or if it was a false alarm.
