Fire damages popular bakery in Hartford

HARTFORD — A fire damaged a popular bakery on Franklin Avenue in Hartford Friday morning.

The fire damaged the roof area of Modern Pastry, 422 Franklin Ave. just before 10 a.m.

Firefighters were able to get the fire knocked down within in a half hour.

The owner said the business has reopened.
