CROMWELL--The high school football season has hit the mid-way point, and the action is in full swing.

Friday night at Pierson Park the Cromwell High School Panthers hosted the Morgan Huskies. After the teams exchanged touchdowns on their opening drives, the Panthers broke the game wide open when they blocked a Husky field goal attempt, and Kittrell Lauray scooped up the ball and returned it for a touchdown. The Panthers would go on to win 37-7.

In Wallingford it was the Zach Davis show for the Sheehan Titans. The senior running back scored six touchdowns in the first half as the Titans clobbered the CREC Co-op Colts 39-13.
