East Hartford Mayor Marcia LeClerc reflects on the city’s response to a plane crash Tuesday right outside of Pratt & Whitney. Two people were on board during the crash; one, was taken to the hospital with significant injuries, and a second man is dead. The survivor is expected to survive, and he is speaking to investigators about what occurred.

She also discusses East Hartford’s role in the ongoing investigation with federal agencies.

Federal authorities believe Tuesday’s plane crash in East Hartford, Connecticut, was an attempted suicide, not an act of terrorism, a source confirmed to FOX 61. The NTSB announced their initial investigation into the crash “indicates the crash is the result of an intentional act.”
