NAUGATUCK- The Naugatuck Fire Department and Eversource, along with the Naugatuck Police Department, were called to Naugatuck High school at around 7:15 a.m. Thursday for the smell of gas coming from inside the building.
The school was metered and cleared by Eversource and the fire department and determined to be safe about an hour later.
Students and staff were cleared from the building as a precaution while the facility was checked.
All students and staff have since been returned back into the facility to resume their school day.
