WATERBURY — Police from several jurisdictions captured two people Thursday morning who are suspects in a Georgia homicide.

Police received a tip that Kendra Tillery, 29, and Malik Golden, 18, were hiding in the Hartford area. Police determined they were driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala with Georgia plates, RC15118.  After following leads in Hartford and East Hartford, police learned the pair was in Waterbury.

The pair was arrested in connection with the homicide of Donell Nathaniel Hawkins, 34, of Warner Robins according to WMAZ. 

The couple was found sleeping in the car at 918 Woodstock Road, Waterbury. Police said they had been staying in the car for several days in the Hartford area.

The pair was taken into custody and will be extradited to Georgia.
