SIMSBURY – Police said Friday the suspect in a bank robbery last week may have been involved in several other bank robberies in New England.
On Oct. 14 a man with a baseball cap robbed a TD Bank branch located at 714 Hopmeadow St.
A similar looking man also robbed banks in Westerly, RI on Sept. 30, Brattleboro, VT on Oct. 7; and Norwich on Oct. 17 in addition to Simsbury.
Police said the Simsbury robbery occurred at around 10:15 a.m. The man showed a note demanding money. Police said the suspect was given an unspecified amount of money and left the bank on foot. No weapons were threatened and there were no injuries, according to police.
Police said the suspect is a 5’6″ white man, with a salt-and-pepper beard. It is not clear if he got away with any cash.
