MANCHESTER — Police had to chase down the driver who official say abandoned his car after it hit a pole and another car.
The accident happened near the Manchester Country Club around 8:25 p.m. Saturday. According to fire department officials, a driver hit a pole and then drove away and rear-ended another car. Officials said the driver abandoned the car and ran into the woods nearby.
Fire officials said the suspect, who has not been identified, was captured near Spring Street and taken to Hartford Hospital.
