DANBURY — A Danbury man has been found guilty of manslaughter and other charges in connection with a December 2013 brawl that left a 17-year-old Danbury boy dead.

The News-Times reports that 20-year-old Emanuel Harris was convicted Tuesday in the stabbing death of Luan Pitol and the slashing of another teen.

Prosecutors said Harris and several friends armed themselves and ambushed the victims following a party.

Several of the teens involved in the melee gave conflicting testimony, but two witnesses told the court they saw Harris stab Pitol during the fight.

Pitol was stabbed in the back so violently that one of his ribs was broken. The teen’s lung was also punctured and an artery was severed.

Harris is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 13.
