2 men arrested for yelling ethnic slurs at family at Bradley Airport

WINDSOR LOCKS–Two men were arrested on Thursday after an incident at Bradley Airport.

Around 12:15 a.m. a family said that they were leaving the airport on the lower level when they were accosted by two individuals in a car in front of the terminal. According to the victim, he said that the two men began yelling ethnic slurs and vulgarities at him and his family, though he was able to avoid physical confrontation with the suspects.

The victim took photos of the suspects, as well as of their license plate, as they drove off, leading State Police to locate the two offenders. The suspects tried to flee when the officers approached them, but were eventually captured.

Nicholas Diorio, 27, and Anthony Diorio, 29, both of Prospect, were arrested and charged with intimidation based on bigotry/bias; interfering with police and breach of peace/threatening. They were released on $10,000 bonds and are due in court November 9.
