VERNON — A 70-year-old Vernon man is facing dozens of charges in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of three minors over nine years.

On Wednesday October 26, Vernon Police arrested David Brown. On Friday October 28, Vernon Detectives served an additional arrest warrant on Brown at Rockville Superior Court in connection with this investigation.

Police said they were first notified of the alleged abuse in August 2016. Brown is accused of the assaults from 2006 to 2015.

In the first case, Brown is charged with 11 counts of sexual assault in the first degree, 14 counts of illegal sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16, three counts of sexual assault in the fourth degree, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.

In the second case, Brown is charged with three counts of sexual assault in the fourth degree and three counts of illegal sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16.

In the third case, Brown is charged with two counts of sexual assault in the first degree, two counts of sexual assault in the fourth degree, and four counts of illegal sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16.

Brown’s bond has been set at $850,000. The arrest is being prosecuted by the Tolland State’s Attorney’s Office.
