City to relocate residents of deteriorating New London apartments
NEW LONDON — The New London Housing Authority will start finding places for residents of the Thames River Apartments due to their deteriorating conditions.
City officials said due to the continuing deterioration in the living conditions, they were working with federal and state officials to begin the process of relocating tenants of the complex.
The city said they were also working with the tenant’s association, the tenants and the lawyers involved in the tenant’s lawsuit.
The city said it could take more than six months to move the tenants.
