STORRS – The UConn student who has been accused of harassment and assault appeared in court Friday and had his case continued.

Police said around 1:55 p.m. Thursday, a man approached a woman outside of the Commissary Warehouse on Gurleyville Road in Storrs and “aggressively grabbed” her buttocks. Then the male ran away from the area. Police called the incident harassment and assault.

The suspect was identified as Samuel Manzolillo, 21, of New York City. Police said he matched the description the victim aged, and in his apartment he had the clothes that the victim described the suspect wearing and that were seen in surveillance video. UConn officials said he is enrolled as a senior studying engineering.

He is charged with sexual assault in the fourth degree and breach of peace in the second degree. He was released on $10,000 bond. and has a court date scheduled for November 21.
