STORRS -- The UConn Huskies men's basketball team hosted the Southern Connecticut State Owls at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs in the team last exhibition game before the regular season starts next Friday.
The final score of 94-65 in the Huskies favor was never in doubt, but the work that both teams put in and the strides they made was what both coaches were looking for.
The Owls kept the game close in the first half but the Husky size and length quickly became a factor. Upon capitalized off 23 assists and had four players in double figures.
Huskies start the regular season next Friday back in Storrs as they host Wagner.
The SCSU Owls are back in action next Saturday as they face Holy Family University.
