HARTFORD -- As Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods move forward with their proposal to build, and jointly operate, a new casino in the Hartford area (to compete with the MGM casino under construction in Springfield), comes a call for the state's voters to be given a say on the idea.

The Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes say they’ve received both amended and new sites in northern Connecticut for their proposed casino.

The tribes’ MMCT Venture announced last month that possible locations in East Windsor and South Windsor were submitted. They’re in addition to possible sites in East Hartford, Hartford and Windsor Locks.

An application was also submitted from Plymouth, but it’s not being considered by the tribes.
