STAFFORD - A two-alarm fire has been contained after four mobile homes caught on fire.

The fire broke out at the Sun Valley campground on Springfield Road in Stafford, next to Sun Valley Lake. It is suspected that a brush fire spread to the structures.

The Tolland Fire Department responded to assist the Stafford Fire Department with tankers. Two additional forest firefighting vehicles and two UTVs were also requested to the scene.

Mutual aid also came from the Crystal Lake and Somers fire departments to assist with hot spots. Connecticut State Police were also called to assist.

Power to the complex was turned off, though the fire is contained.

An extensive overhaul will be required, according to Tolland County dispatch.

It was not known if people were staying at the campground at the time. The cause of the fire is under investigation

In August, fire destroyed a trailer at the campground.
