HARTFORD — Police issued a Silver Alert Thursday afternoon for an 11-year-old boy from Hartford, but he was found around 9 p.m. hiding in a basement of a house down the street.

Dillan Tobias hasn’t been seen since about 9 a.m. Thursday, when he left his house after a disagreement with his mother. He got home safe and uninjured.

Tobias was described as about 4-foot-8 and weighs about 100 pounds, police said, and has black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a grey sweatshirt with skulls on it and red shorts.

Silver Alerts are issued by law enforcement agencies for missing people of all ages. Amber Alerts are issued for children who are believed to be in danger.
