BRIDGEPORT — A former teacher’s aide in the Stratford school system who’s charged with having sexual relationships with two teenage boys has rejected a plea deal and will go to trial.
The Connecticut Post reports that 46-year-old Kyle Damato-Kushel, of Stratford, was in court Thursday where she turned down a deal that would have sent her to prison for a maximum of four years.
Damato-Kushel and her attorney refused comment as they left court.
She’s charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault, fourth-degree sexual assault and other offenses.
Damato-Kushel, who had worked at a Stratford middle school, was arrested last year and charged with having an ongoing sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.
Police said that boy told them Damato-Kushel also had sex with his 16-year-old friend.
