EAST HARTFORD  — Representatives from Connecticut’s health insurance exchange will be on hand at the University of Connecticut’s final football game of the season to encourage people to sign up for insurance coverage, despite speculation about the Affordable Care Act’s future.

Access Health CT CEO James Wadleigh says no change in the law has taken place, despite promises by President-elect Donald Trump during the presidential campaign that he would immediately repeal and replace the ACA, also known as Obamacare.

Wadleigh notes that “if there is going to be a change, it’s a long way off.” So in the meantime, he’s urging people to enroll and get coverage.

Saturday’s game against Tulane University kicks off at 4 p.m. at Rentschler Field in East Hartford on Saturday.

The current open enrollment period ends Jan. 31.
