WESTPORT — A 2-year-old boy who went missing Thursday and was the subject of a Silver Alert was found safe Friday.

Messiah Frazier may have been with his biological uncle, Danny Frazier, according to a Silver Alert issued by police. Friday, Westport police found him at a home in New York City. Police said they found Messiah “in good health.”

“Messiah is being transported back to Connecticut and will be turned over to the Department of Children and Families,” said Lt. Farrell.

The two were dropped off at a barber shop in Norwalk. Messiah may have been left unsupervised while his uncle shopped around.

Thursday, police said Danny is a known drug addict and convicted felon and doesn’t have custody of the boy. Friday, police said “the investigation into Frazier will continue, but locating Messiah was the Police Department’s priority to this point.”
