DANBURY--Dozens showed up for a rally in Danbury Thursday evening, but it wasn't necessarily a protest. It was a show of unity.

Danbury has one of the most diverse communities in the state, with 32 percent being foreign born. Also, about 25 percent are Latino, according to the census.

The president-elect's stance on immigration and deportations has worried some in that community, and they gathered to have a candlelight vigil at the public library.

William Love, one of the organizer of the rally, said, "The main impetus for this was to give a sign to the people who feel threatened that there are people who do care about them."

There was singing, speeches and candles at the event.
