Newington pedestrian injured by driver suspected of being under the influence: Police

NEWINGTON — Police said one person was injured after being struck by a vehicle driven by a person who was arrested for driving under the influence Saturday night.

The accident happened at Fenn Road and Cedar Street near Central Connecticut State University and a CT Fastrak station. Police said the driver was arrested for DUI.

Police have not released details of the suspect or the victim, but did say the person hit was in stable condition and talking to family members.
