EAST HAVEN — One person was struck by a pickup truck that left the scene of the accident in East Haven Saturday evening.
The accident happened near the intersection of Paul Street and Foxon Road around 8:30 p.m. The road was closed in the area, but has since reopened.
Police say one person was taken to a Yale-New Haven Hospital with serious injuries.
The vehicle, a pickup truck, left the scene with damage to the front end according to police. Police are investigating whether a vehicle found in New Haven is involved.
