EAST HAVEN — Police made two arrests in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident that occurred Saturday night.
On Saturday around 10:40 p.m., East Haven police responded to Foxon Road, near Paul Street, for reports that a pedestrian had been hit. The pedestrian, later identified as Lynn Travisano, 59, was taken to the hospital and later died.
Police determined that the car, which left the scene, had been recorded on an officer’s in-car dash cam as he pulled up to the scene, and the description of a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado was sent to nearby police agencies. It was later found in New Haven.
Santomassino is charged with evading responsibility resulting in death and interfering with a police officer. He is being held on $750,000 bond and will be in court on Wednesday.
Suraci is charged with interfering with a police officer and hindering prosecution and is being held on a $75,000 bond.
