ROCKY HILL — Two people are dead after a fire erupted in a home on Walnut Road in Rocky Hill.

According to Assistant Fire Cheif David Kromas, a call came in around 3:14 a.m. from a neighbor reporting that the house at 65 Walnut Road was on fire. Upon arrival, the house was fully involved in the rear of the house.

The Rocky Hill Fire department was able to knock down the fire around 30 minutes later. When they searched the house, they found two deceased people on the second floor. Their identities are being withheld until they can be positively identified.

The Connecticut State Police Fire Marshal is on scene along with the Rocky Hill Fire Marshal and Rocky Hill Police Detectives to investigate the cause and nature of the fire.
