MIDDLETOWN – The CT Yoga Center in Middletown hosted the studio’s first “Yoga with Cats“on Sunday to support the Protectors of Animals shelter in East Hartford.
The donation-based, all-levels class, was led by owner Erika Halford, and featured adoptable cats from the shelter.
“Last year we had the honor of supporting Protectors of Animals through a month-long donation of valuable monetary and material items to benefit the shelter,” said Halford. “This year we are happy to continue supporting them through a month-long, in studio donation campaign and were thrilled to partner with them to host our first Yoga with Cats class. Participants had the opportunity to enjoy a yoga class with about 12 kittens and adult cats and worked with Protectors of Animals volunteers to begin the adoption process following our class.”
The event sold out within a day of being announced, so the center will be hosting a second Yoga with Cats class on Sunday, February 12 at 11 a.m. Those interested in attending the class can reserve their spot by emailing ctyogacenter@gmail.com or call (860) 986-2017.
No yoga experience is necessary and attendees do not need to be studio members.
