HARTFORD -- With the holidays here, sometimes people can't find the time to get a workout in their schedule. Tom Holland joined Dan Amarante to showcase some workout moves, and explained that studies show "micro-workouts," even just a few minutes in length, will make a difference.
He also explained that you can get in a great workout with just your body weight by doing three 10 minute workouts - which are just as effective a one 30 minute session.
He said to focus on "excessive moderation." In other words, doing a little bit of exercise a lot, not a lot of exercise a little will be more effective.
Holland said the future of fitness is working numerous shorter workouts into your day, rather than one long one. If you have a home, you have a home gym, he said.
