NEW YORK - The handwritten lyrics and shiny awards are on full display, as well as the enviable fashion.
"She was the first woman to win 'Album of the Year' twice. Who else is doing this?" asked Nwaka Onwusa, curator at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles where this exhibit began.
Due to its popularity, the Swift show will now travel, with New York being the first stop.
Onwusa believes the musician, writer and fashionista deserves the attention: "Taylor Swift is a Grammy icon and that’s what we’re celebrating -- her journey -- and to have people understand that this wasn’t a fly-by-night or overnight success."
Big draws? The baby photos, unique instruments and the incredible clothes from concerts and videos.
Visitors don't just look in glass cases at The Taylor Swift Experience. There’s also an interactive component to the exhibit: You need to find the giant boom box, take to the dance floor and 'shake it off,' along with a video of the celebrity.
"You can sing in a sound booth with Taylor Swift, singing, 'We are never ever getting back together, like ever,'" laughs Onwusa.
Folks can also mix a song like a producer.
The exhibit, located in the South Street Seaport, is sure to attract folks during holiday break.
The biggest Taylor Swift fans are undoubtedly growing girls, motivated by the strong, talented singer.
Tillie Powers agrees: "Someday I hope to be just like her. And I also really want to meet her."
Everyone can admire the 27-year-old's ascent from singing teen to polished performer. This experience has rhythm and style!
"We want visitors to walk away feeling inspired, excited about life, in whatever they can do," says Onwusa.
