He has a severe case, which restricts him from walking, making him bedridden.

After a six-week stay in the hospital, Troy finally got to go back home to Unionville in time for the holidays.

In support, the Union School held a special day on Thursday called “Murphy Strong Day” to honor the sixth-grader.

“Their goal is to kind of paint the town blue for Troy today,” his mom Alison Murphy said. “From the littlest kids to the teachers and staff and the parents, its amazing, its overwhelming really.”

Troy’s mom also battles Lyme Disease.

About 550 “Murphy Strong,” shirts were sold, raising $2,800 in donations, which was given to the Murphy family.

In August, a fundraiser was held at Scene Art Bar in Unionville to raise money for Troy’s medical costs.

A GoFundMe Page has been set up to help the family with medical costs, which you can find here.
