HARTFORD – A water main break at Hartford High School caused a boys track meet to be canceled.

The call to the school, located at 55 Forest Street, came in at around 10:30.

There were no students at the school at the time, but staffers were inside the building.

Pedro Zayas of Hartford Public Schools:

The pool room (machine room below the pool) flooded due to a leak. There is no damage or minimal damage to the building so far. The water is being pumped out and the power was turned off for precaution. Unfortunately, with no power and to ensure everyone’s safety, the boys indoor track meet had to be canceled. Hartford Public Schools is working to correct this matter as soon as possible.
