House a total loss after early morning fire in Woodstock

WOODSTOCK – A family’s house has been declared a total loss after a fire broke out in Woodstock early Tuesday morning.

The call came in to the fire department  just before 6 a.m. regarding a fire at a single-family home at 630 Route 171 .

The Woodstock Fire Department and other fire departments – mostly volunteer fire departments – were called to scene.

There were no reported injuries and Quinebaug Valley Dispatch said all occupants of the home were accounted for.

The cause of the early morning fire is under investigation and the State Fire Marshal is on the scene to investigate.
