WATERBURY — Police arrested a man after a dead body was discovered in an apartment above a bar in Waterbury.
At around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, police found the body of Luis Rodriguez, 59, in a bathroom shower stall located in his second floor apartment at 475 East Main Street. The body had significant head trauma.
Rodriguez lived in the apartment, which is above a bar.
Police went to the apartment after firefighters were first called there to deal with a possible water leak from a second-floor apartment.
Police said Irving Duggans, 43, of Waterbury, got into an argument with Rodriguez that led to a fight that killed Rodriguez. Duggans was charged with murder.
Duggans was taken to Waterbury Superior Court Wednesday morning for arraignment after being held by police on $2 million bail.
