BERLIN — The roads are icy out there, and its causing some issues.

Around 9:15 p.m. several vehicles were involved in a crash on Route 9 northbound, near Exits 21 and 22 in the Berlin area. Police told FOX 61 it was about seven or eight cars involved in the crash. No one was hurt in the crash.

The road was shut down to clear the crash, but also due to the icy conditions. It reopened around 10:30 p.m.

FOX 61 heard police say that the road was “like a skating rink,” which we’ve been hearing from viewers and police all night across the state, particularly in the Tolland hills.

FOX 61 meteorologists say that the cold temperatures and wet pavement mean its likely we’ll see black ice overnight.
