Wanted: Hartford police searching for suspect in November murder

headley-thomasHARTFORD — Police are actively searching for a suspect who is believed to have shot and killed a man in late November.

Police are looking for Headley Thomas, 28. A warrant is out for his arrest charging him with murder and criminal possession of a firearm.

On November 25 around 11 a.m., victim Jaime Rivera, 27, was shot and killed while sitting in a silver Buick Century parked on Maple Avenue in Hartford. The car was riddled with bullets, and police found drugs inside.

Surveillance video from the city and nearby stores captured the entire shooting, and showed the driver of a white Toyota Camry had been the shooter.Maple Avenue Hartford homicide

Police later found the Camry, but have still not found the suspect.

Detective Chief Brian Foley said it was an area with a high amount of crime and drugĀ use. Police believe the shooting was a result of a drug deal.
