NAUGATUCK — Police asked for the public’s help to find an elderly man who had gone missing, and he was found a few hours later.
Naugatuck Police say that Hubert Piper, 87, went gone missing on Monday. He was last seen at the VA Hospital in West Haven around 3 p.m. Tuesday, and a Silver Alert was issued Tuesday evening.
He was reported found safe and unharmed around 11 p.m.
Piper’s family was afraid he may be lost or confused, which is why police issued the Silver Alert to try and find him.
Piper is a white man, about 5-foot-6 and 190 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a UConn Huskies jacket.
