EAST HAVEN -- The East Haven Yellowjackets hockey team has started the season 4-0 and looked to stay unbeaten Wednesday night at DiLungo Rink in East Haven against the Glastonbury Tomahawks.

The teams would go scoreless through the first period but in the second the scoring started to heat up. The Yellowjackets got it started midway through the period when freshman phenom Nick Capone would redirect a shot by Mike Dogolo for a power play goal to put East Haven up 1-0.

Then just under the four minute mark Glastonbury’s Ryan Ginnett skated into the offensive zone then flicked a back hand pass to Trevor Suydam who redirected the pass top shelf to tie the game 1-1. The scoring wasn’t done because less than a minute later Yellowjackets again on the power play when Zach Paquin rifled the game winning goal as East Haven stayed perfect on the season with the 2-1 victory.
