Man robs Norwich convenience store armed with a rock: Police

NORWICH — Police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store Tuesday, who they said was armed with a rock.

Norwich Police said the suspect burst into the Sar Market on Boswell Ave. around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, wielding a heavy rock. He threatened the store clerk and ordered him to empty the register.  The clerk complied, fearing for his safety.

The suspect ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash and the rock.

Police are investigating this and several other recent robberies in town.
