BOSTON — A massive search has finally ended for a man who escaped from a federal prison in Rhode Island.
James Morales escaped Saturday from the Wyatt Detention Facility in Central Falls, Rhode Island. Thursday, he attempted to rob a bank, bringing Massachusetts state police to launch the search in the Cambridge area.
Just after 4 p.m., police said they caught him in Somerville, Mass. Police plan to release more information soon.
Morales is a former Army reservist who was being held at Wyatt on charges that he stole 16 guns from a U.S. Army Reserve Center in Worcester. He was also facing child rape charges in Massachusetts.
