HARTFORD -- Thursday night in Hartford, people came together to speak out against gun violence and remember a Cromwell woman killed exactly one year ago.
At first, police thought Nasashalie Hoy's death was a suicide, but the 18-year-old high school senior's death was later ruled a homicide.
Police arrested Torrick Maragh for Hoy's death.
Police said he shot her in a basement bedroom on Broad Street in Hartford, but told investigators she killed herself.
Maragh's murder case is still in the courts.
