HARTFORD -- The UConn Huskies men's hockey hosted an interstate matchup against the Yale Bulldogs at the XL Center in Hartford Saturday afternoon.

UConn and Head Coach Mike Cavanaugh came into the game sitting just over 500 why the Bulldogs lead by Head Coach Kieth Allain are in unfamiliar territory with a sub 500 record.

UConn started the game slow on the offensive end by taking 11 minutes in the first period to get their first shot on goal but Yale did not have the same problems and would grab the first goal of the game.

Huskies would tie the game 1-1 before the end of the first period then take the lead on a power play goal midway through the second period. Bulldogs would score two goals in 20 seconds thanks to a 5 minute major penalty called on the Huskies to lead 3-2 heading to the final period.

Yale kept the pressure on by scoring the games final goal just over two minutes into the final frame for 4-2 win.
