Police said that at around 7 p.m. Monday they saw a car illegally parked on Center Street. While they were searching the car, they said a juvenile in the back seat was hiding something in his pants that appeared to be a gun. Police said they had to talk the boy out of the car.
During a pat down, police said they found he had a 9mm pistol and ammunition. The teen was arrested and charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of a high-capacity magazine, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell, and having weapons in a moving vehicle.
He was taken to juvenile detention.
