STERLING -- Many from the community came out to show their support for TJ Allen's family, who has lost their son at 18 years-old.

"I feel the town has been shaken up definitely and it's a very small town and everybody knows everybody," said Candace Eno, who lives in the town. But people shuffled in to remember the good times. Coming up to the podium one by one.

Mike Parrollo, who was TJ's math teacher in middle school said TJ was a great student.

"TJ was an amazing person a big hearted kid one of the greatest senses of humor you'd ever come across," Parrollo said, adding, "he was loved in this community he was a great kid and this is a small community and everybody knows each other and cares about each other."

Many gave hugs to TJ's mother left without her son.

But given its a small town no one was shocked at the large crowd that came out

Thats why Eian Brown who was a schoolmate of TJ's  took a seat and lit a candle, as did some who had never even met him.

"In small communities like this everybody gets along and he was one of those kids he always had great intentions he never really did anyone wrong," Brown said.
