HAMDEN — The south side of the Wilbur Cross Parkway in Hamden was closed between exits 60-59 due to an accident involving multiple cars, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
The road has since reopened but drivers should expect delays, as the road, also known as Route 15, is backed up for about three and a half miles.
Connecticut State Police said the crash happened inside the West Rock Tunnel just before 10:30 on Friday morning.
State police said there were no injuries in the accident.
There are wreckers are on the scene and state police are investigating the cause of the crash.
