MANCHESTER —  Firefighters said six people were injured and sent to the hospital following a car crash Friday evening.

Manchester Fire Department said the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Firefighters said when they arrived, they had found out that a car had lost control and crashed on the exit 60 off-ramp.

The car, driven by Norris Jackson, 35, of Hartford, crossed from the left side of the highway over to the exit 60 ramp when it lost control and overturned. The car came to a stop on the side of the highway on the right shoulder. Two of the children were taken to CCMC where they were treated for serious injuries. The other four children were taken to CCMC for evaluation. The two adults in the front were taken to Hartford Hospital for minor injuries.
