LEBANON -- State police said they were investigating a complaint of improper conduct by a teacher in Lebanon.

Police said the complaint came from the administration at Lyman Memorial High School, and the teacher had been involved in inappropriate conduct.

Superintendent of Lebanon Public Schools, Robert Angeli, said that they learned about the situation on Tuesday after school was out. School officials met with the teacher on Wednesday morning, and then later escorted from the school. The teacher has since been placed on paid leave.

The complaint was filed with Troop K of the Connecticut State Police, who said the investigation is open and ongoing.
