Hartford police investigating homicide on Farmington Ave.

HARTFORD -- Police are investigating a homicide that took place on Farmington Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Police said a man with a gunshot wound was pronounced dead at the scene in a third floor apartment at 388 Farmington Ave.

Police identified the victim as Shermane Rose, 37, who  lived on Main Street in Hartford.

Authorities were called to the building after getting a call from a concerned citizen around 12:40 p.m.

The building is located across the street from the Mark Twain House and Museum.
