VERNON — Vernon Police say they are investigating after a car struck a pedestrian Saturday morning.
They say the incident happened in the area of 550 Hartford Turnpike in Vernon.
Police say that the crash involved one vehicle and one person. The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital and their current status isn’t known.
The driver of the vehicle was the only occupant, and is cooperating with police. They were not injured in the crash.
No one is being identified at this time according to police.
The road is expected to reopen by mid-morning.
